Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies AcquireOS uses on getacquireos.com and the operator dashboard at portal.getacquireos.com.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use localStorage, sessionStorage, and similar technologies — for the purposes of this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.

2. Categories We Use

Essential (always on)

  • __session — Firebase Auth session cookie that keeps you signed in
  • acq_cookie_consent — remembers your cookie preference so we don't prompt every visit
  • CSRF tokens for write-path routes

Essential cookies cannot be disabled — without them the product does not function.

Analytics (opt-in)

  • ph_* — PostHog product analytics (feature usage, funnel completion)
  • AcquireOS attribution pixel — measures which marketing channels drive signups (emails are SHA-256 hashed before storage)

Analytics cookies fire only after you click Accept all on our consent banner. Rejecting them or choosing Essential only disables product analytics entirely.

Functional (opt-in)

  • Dashboard layout preferences (sidebar collapsed, table column order)
  • Theme preference (light/dark)

3. Third-Party Cookies

Our marketing site does not embed third-party ad trackers. The operator dashboard does not embed third-party trackers of any kind — product analytics are first-party only.

4. How to Control Cookies

  • Use our cookie banner at the bottom of the page to accept, reject, or choose essential-only.
  • Clear your browser's localStorage to reset your preference (the banner will reappear).
  • Most browsers let you block cookies at the browser level from their settings panel.

5. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

AcquireOS honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, analytics cookies are disabled automatically regardless of banner choice.
